A Child Called “It” By: Dave Pelzer

A Child Called “It” By: Dave Pelzer

Significance:
I care about this book because it shows how bad and sad child abuse is explains about he’s whole with his mom abusing of him, even his dog was treated better than he was! It’s important because we need to put a stop to this harsh treatment to little kids.

Perspective:
The Author is the kid in the book that was abused. So the author wrote about his experience when he was a child and how his mom abused him.

Evidence:
He was abused for 4 years since he was in first grade I think and he couldn’t do anything to get help because if some one called his mom because they found out when he would get home his mom would beat him ‘till he could almost die. I know this happened because at the end of the book they interviewed all the people that knew about his situation.
Connections:
Every single year lots of kids are abused. That’s why a lot of kids live in the streets because they ran away cause there parents use to abuse them. Now a day every year more and more kids are abused.

Supposition:
Life would be much less dangerous for the kids. There wouldn’t be so many kids living in the streets or stealing to have some thing to eat. Life would be better for at least some.
